THE 21st CENTURY CHURCH STRUCTURE

“ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations, and then shall the end come ”

Introduction: “When He leads, the way is always great!” How Do I Build a Formidable Church in this 21^st Century?

VISION

Vision is fundamental to anything call ministry No one experience growth without a vision for growth. Vision is the foundational tool for any surviving ministry What is Vision? Vision is the picture of the future in the mind of a man. Vision is the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom. Vision is the beginning of pursuit. It is not the end, it is the picture of the end in mind. “For all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.” – Gen.13:15 No man arrives a future he cannot see. Before you get to a future, you must have first seen it in the picture of your mind. The Bible is the custodian of revelation and vision for every human being. “And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.” – Isaiah 29:11-12

Where there is no vision, the struggle continues.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he” -Proverbs 29:18 Whosoever that follows the dictates of Vision will be happy and prosperous. If you can’t see it, you can own it. If you can see it, you can’t experience it!

Where there is no vision, wastage is inevitable

Where there is no Vision, there won’t be testimony

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” -Habb.2:3 Every great ministry and life, goes through little by little pattern. “And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee” -Deut.7:22 What is God’s Vision/ Plans and Purpose for Church Growth in this last days?

The Word you Hear
The Word you See.

THE WORD YOU SEE – VISION! “And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet”. – Exodus 7:1 There is a wall of difference between what you hear and what you see. You can doubt what you hear, but not what you see. “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” -Acts.4:20 The difference between what you see and what you hear is wide apart.! God’s Thoughts, Plans and Purposes for His Church in this last days are in His Book. . So we are to search for it and find it. That is the reason I say, there is no future for a lazy man in ministry and life.

1. The Church shall be Point of Reference in ALL Areas

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.” – Isaiah 2:2-3

2. God vision for this end-time Church will be a Church of Power

“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.” The End-time Church is not expected to beg for rulership and power. It is part of God’s Vision for His Church in this time. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. -Daniel 7:27

3. The Church of Influence and Authority.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom”. -Luke 12:32 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” – Luke 10:19

4. The Church of Unlimited Growth

“And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:” – Zech.2:4 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die” – John 12:32 There is no Church ordained by God to be small. It is the corresponding Vision of the set-man that makes it small. It is not your Church, it is His Church and He doesn’t do anything small. Please rise and take responsibility! WHAT DO WE NEED TO ACHIEVE THIS VISION?

1. Write The Vision.- ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.” – Ex.34:27 When you write the vision, you save the ministry and life from generational mistakes and errors. “And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” – Ex.17:14

2. Make it Plain

“And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.” – Ex.25:40

3. We need what we call “Patience of Faith” to achieve and realize this God’s Vision for His Church.

“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” – Habb.2:2-3 “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day”. -Proverbs.4:18

4. We Need To Run with the Vision.

No matter how colorful the vision is, if you don’t run with it, it will never see the light of the day. Vision requires a RUNNER. Every great runner, makes a vision speaks at the end. Example is Pastor E.A Adeboye “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” – Habb.2:2-3 If we don’t run with it, it will not see the light of the day! Vision is Work! God’s word works. But it only works for those who work it! “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”. – Phil.2:12 If you are not a runner, it will never happen. When God gives a vision, He will never give you what He has not enabled you to do. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised”– Heb.10:23 The word does not work for those who preach it or, claim it or confess it. It works for those who work it! Only those who make moves, make news! God’s house cannot be filled without the people on the go. We must maintain fire on our prayer altar to keep the fire burning. If you will not GO, it will not GROW No world changer, keeps a normal schedule. No church is ordained to be small by God.
